Union Pacific and Norfolk Southern this week submitted the first installment of their response to the Surface Transportation Board’s May order requiring additional information about their proposed merger.
First: May I use some of the commentaries and post them to Angry Bear Blog. We are widely read. The railroad is also a valuable asset to the United States. Is the union of the two railroads going to be challenged. If this has been answered, I am late to the reading and the answers.
Angry Bear has featured other Railroad Commentary. Linking back is not an issue. High Speed Rail Alliance is one of them. I have placed letters by Samuel Walker on our site also. It is not a problem.
By the time they do high speed in the US I will have passed on. I did ride the China passenger railroads. Going ~200mph on smooth rails was very different!
